I'm an Associate Professor in the Organisations and Innovation Group at University College London School of Management. Previously, I was a postdoctoral research scholar and visiting assistant professor at NYU Stern School of Business. I received my Ph.D. from UCLA in 2018 where I taught and conducted research in the Psychology Department and Anderson School of Management.
As demographic diversity grows and organizations struggle to make good on their promises of increased equity and inclusion, my research addresses the challenging question of how we work with those who would seek to undermine this social change. My work explores the unique identity concerns that members of dominant groups experience in the face of growing diversity, and the strategies they employ to preserve dominance. In addition, I work on developing novel and empirically-based interventions to improve intergroup attitudes within organizations.
My research has been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organization Science, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, among others. My work has been awarded the Dorothy Harlow Best Paper Award from the Academy of Management Gender and Diversity in Organizations Division and has received press in the BBC, New York Magazine, Harvard Business Review, and Jezebel.
